In the second image you see a striped piece of fabric. That has all of the colors that I planned to use in the living room. An easy way to ensure versatility in your home and be able to change things at a minimal cost over time is to use solid colors in the large expensive items while adding pops of color and details in your pillows, paint colors or window treatments. The striped fabric was used for throw pillows. I pulled the green into a nice sheer curtain and the rich red into an area rug. With the rich red being such a large part of the room it was then toned down a bit to balance out the room with a golden brown fabric on the large sectional.
A whole different animal was the guest house. The last board displayed and the two small floor plans on the first board are for the guest house which would be used by an exchange student or intern. The guest house would allow them to have their own space and be able to work on projects in private. Unlike the main house, the guest house had very limited natural light. There were not stairs in there yet so a full remodel and major construction would be necessary, so I built a mock model to do a study of where to put the stairs to allow for the most natural light.
I hope you all like my first post!! I look forward to any and all feedback!
